What we collect
Information you give us
- Name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number.
- Order details, including the scents you select.
- Messages you send us by email.
Card numbers are entered directly into our payment processor and are never stored on our servers or visible to us - we only receive a confirmation and the last four digits.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser type, operating system, language, time zone.
- IP address, pages viewed, referring site, time spent on the store.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see below).
Why we use it
- To fulfil your order - process payment, ship the parcel, send tracking and receipts. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To provide support - answer questions, handle returns and warranty claims. Legal basis: performance of a contract and our legitimate interest.
- To prevent fraud and keep the store secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest and legal obligation.
- To improve the store - aggregated analytics on how the site is used. Legal basis: legitimate interest or your consent, where required.
- To send marketing - only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe from any email with a single click. Legal basis: consent.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the store, and only to the extent required:
- Shopify - our e-commerce platform, which hosts the store and processes orders.
- Payment providers (for example Shopify Payments, PayPal) - to take payment securely.
- Shipping carriers and fulfilment partners - to deliver your parcel.
- Email and analytics providers - to send order notifications and understand site usage.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and some of our providers process data outside your country. Where personal data of EU/UK residents is transferred, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet our tax and accounting obligations (typically 7 years). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.
